Workshop with Klassik Stiftung Weimar
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Bauhaus member Karl Peter Röhl, the Bauhaus Museum is dedicating a special exhibition to his formative role in the early Weimar Bauhaus.
As part of the exhibition, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar and the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar cordially invite you to attend the workshop „Daten, Raum, Erlebnis: Anstiftungen für Kulturerbe digital“ which focuses on a central theme of curatorial practice: How can we develop new forms of media communication and curatorial narratives in the context of object loss and reconstruction? Indeed, dealing with gaps and losses in collections repeatedly presents curators with challenges. Digital tools open up new ways of addressing these gaps—from data-based reconstructions of lost objects to experimental communication formats. Together, we want to engage in an interdisciplinary discussion about the opportunities and limitations of these approaches, revealing new creative and technological potential, material and spatial perspectives, aspects of sustainability, and how these can be used to develop future exhibitions and interactive experiences.
The workshop – being pursued on January 29, 2026, starting at 13.00 - is a joint event organized by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar and the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Admission is free and limited to a maximum of 30 people.
Please RSVP in writing to: museen-veranstaltungen@klassik-stiftung.de.
