The Ars Electronica Campus Exhibition selected two works from MediaArchitecture students to be showcased for for the »Beyond the Screens, City Digital Skin Art Festival« in the POSTCITY Linz.

Sieben Videoarbeiten von MediaArchitecture-Studierenden sind im Rahmen des "City Digital Skin Art Festivals" in Hamburg vom 15. bis 31. Oktober 2024 an der 'Media Wall' der Elbphilharmonie zu sehen. Auf dem Festival wurde Ayca Tugran mit Silber und Kevin Blackistone mit Bronze ausgezeichnet.

Seven video projects by MediaArchitecture students on display at the Elbphilharmonie Media Wall from 15 to 31 October 2024 as part of the "City Digital Skin Art Festival" in Hamburg. The festival also included prizes, among which were silver for Ayca Tugran and bronze for Kevin Blackistone.

Die MediaArchitecture-Studentinnen Faezeh Mansourkhaki und Zeinab Rahimi sowie Katharina Fuchs und Katarina Bankovic haben für ihre Projekte »Kabinett der Unendlichkeit« bzw. »Cabinets of Mischief« je einen Preis auf der diesjährigen MediaArchitecture-Biennale in Toronto in der Kategorie animierte Medienarchitektur erhalten.

Der Masterstudiengang MediaArchitecture lädt ein zum Online-Symposium »Nature Data Narratives - How can we make climate change more tangible, visible and experimental with urban digital art scenarios?« in Kooperation mit der Media Architecture Biennale 2023.

The study program MediaArchitecture is represented in the publication Towards Media Architecture with interviews and project documentations. Educating the next generation of urban interaction designers around the world includes profiles of 15 programs, 3 students and 3 professionals internationally in the field of media architecture and urban interaction design. The University at Buffalo, SUNY is our cooperation partner in the double degree program "International MediaArchitecture Master Studies".

The Media Architecture Biennale 2020 (MAB20) invited students to send in their projects for the MAB Student Awards. The MAB20 especially encouraged submissions that addressed the theme of ‘Futures Implied’ and demonstrated the implications of media technologies for urban development, the design of public spaces, and the well-being of the ecosystem at large.

The topic of this year’s Genius Loci Talk – ‘Digital Placemaking’ – is occupied with how digital media is shaping cities today and what we can expect in the years to come. Urban digital media installations can bridge the gap between the physical and virtual realms.
