Ausgezeichnet werden herausragende Abschlussarbeiten (Bachelor-, Master- oder Diplomarbeiten), die von den acht Professuren der Medienkunst/Mediengestaltung vorgeschlagen wurden und deren Prüfungstermin nicht mehr als zwei Jahre zurückliegt. Die für den Medienpreis nominierten Beiträge werden dann von einer Jury aus renommierten Kuratoren und Kulturvermittlern bewertet und in einer kuratierten Sonderausstellung an wechselnden Orten präsentiert. Zehn bis zwölf der eingereichten Werken waren zur summaery2015 im Rahmen einer Sonderausstellung in der Aula des Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasiums zu sehen.
Die Preisverleihung fand am 9. Juli 2015, 13 Uhr in der Aula des Friedrich-Schiller Gymnasiums, Thomas-Mann-Straße 2 statt.

FILMFÖRDERPREIS DES BAUHAUS FILMINSTITUTES (BFI)
Dieses Jahr ist es mit Unterstützung der Merkur Bank erneut gelungen, seitens des BFI, Department Filmgestaltung, den Filmförderpreis auszuloben. Es werden zwei Preise mit einer Fördersumme von je 1000 Euro vergeben. Die Filmpreise werden durch das Direktorium des Bauhaus Film-Institutes Prof. Lorenz Engell und Prof. Wolfgang Kissel verliehen und sollen studentischen Produktionen/ Abschlussarbeiten zugute kommen, die noch nicht fertig gestellt wurden.

BAUHAUS ESSENTIALS AND THE GRAFE CREATIVE PRIZE
For the sixth year in a row, the university gallery »marke.6« is calling for students from all faculties to submit their work for consideration for the Bauhaus Essentials and the GRAFE Creative Prize.
Bauhaus Essentials
Bauhaus Essentials is an exhibition that is organised by »marke.6«. It features exceptional student works from all faculties and presents them together in one exhibition. For the past 6 years, the event has received a great deal of regional and national attention. This year it will take place in the Other Music Academy, Ernst-Kohl-Straße Weimar, from October to December 2015.
GRAFE Creative Prize
The university gallery will also be awarding the GRAFE Creative Prize for the fifth time to outstanding artistic works in the areas of art, media art and design. The GRAFE Creative Prize includes a unique opportunity to participate in the PositionsBerlin Art Fair from 17 -20 September in the Arena Berlin. The GRAFE Prize winner will also receive a 100€ gift certificate from Boesner.
An independent jury of experts from the fields of art, design and architecture will select the winners by touring the exhibitions on Friday and Saturday. The award ceremony will be held at the Bauhaus.Atelier on Sunday, 12 July at 1 p.m.

All group and individual projects from all fields and degree programmes are eligible to participate in the competition. To register, please include an expose of the project and the name of a contact person.
A list of telephone numbers for all project participants is also requested. Please submit all of the above information by 1 July per e-mail: marke.6[at]uni-weimar.de
Please note: The jury tour will take place outside of normal summaery2015 opening hours. A schedule will be made available ahead of time. It is requested that participants are available per telephone during summaery 2015 and that a project participant is available to give a short description of the project to the jury during the tour.
