»The rest of the Presidential Board and I are so pleased that Prof. Morgenthal, with his professional expertise and years of research experience, has been confirmed by the Senate as the new Vice President of Projects and Research at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. With his appointment, we will be gaining new perspectives and a new addition to the University Directorate who will enrich our work and the work of the university as a whole. At the same time, I wish to thank outgoing Vice President Prof. Rabczuk for his commitment over the past few years«, said University President Prof. Peter Benz.
Prof. Morgenthal has held the Professorship of »Modelling and Simulation of Structures« at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering since 2010. He is well-connected throughout the university and has been involved in various university committees for many years.
