BAUHAUS4EU Impresses Brussels: European Commission Recognises Alliance as Best Practice Example
The second year of the European university alliance BAUHAUS4EU (B4EU) begins with a significant award: shortly before the end of the year, the European Commission described the project in an official statement as a successful model for regional transformation. The alliance is driving sustainable regional development in line with the New European Bauhaus Initiative, including through transdisciplinary curricula, regional living labs, and the sustainable development of the campuses of its ten partner universities.
BAUHAUS4EU thus serves as a good practical example of the transformative power of education, art, and culture in promoting creativity and innovation for local change. The communication of December 16, 2025, was addressed to the European Parliament, the European Council, the Economic and Social Committee, and the Committee of the Regions. It demonstrates the European Commission's interest in strengthening the links between education, culture, and social transformation. At the same time, it emphasizes the goal of communicating the values of the New European Bauhaus more broadly, involving civil society actors, local authorities, business, science, and the arts, and promoting participatory projects.
