Studierende der Professur »Experimentelles Radio« der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar feiern herausragende Erfolge bei gleich zwei bedeutenden Hörspielfestivals – dem Leipziger Hörspielsommer und dem Berliner Hörspielfestival.

Am 18. September ist die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar Gastgeberin der Verbundkonferenz des Kooperationsverbunds Thüringer Hochschulbibliotheken (ThHoBi). Nach 2019 findet die Veranstaltung bereits zum zweiten Mal in der Lounge des Bibliotheksgebäudes statt.

On 4 September, the BAUHAUS4EU University Alliance invited its partners from across Thuringia to a workshop at the Startup Hub »neudeli«. The Thuringian »B4EU-Regional Council« kicked off its work with the constituent meeting. The goal is to strengthen the relationship between the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and regional partners and to initiate collaborative projects. In addition to representatives from the Faculties of Architecture & Urbanism, Civil & Environmental Engineering, and Media, University President Prof. Peter Benz was also in attendance.

Maya Vieth ist mit ihrer Bachelorarbeit »Während wir schlafen, ziehen Wölfe um die Häuser« im Fotografie-Wettbewerb » gute aussichten – junge deutsche fotografie« ausgezeichnet worden. In einem Double Feature werden die Arbeiten der Gewinner*innen aus den Jahren 2023/2024 und 2024/2025 in einer umfangreichen Ausstellung im Haus der Photographie der Deichtorhallen Hamburg aktuell ausgestellt.

The »spacing – Lernen zwischen Räumen« three-day conference will be hosted by the Learnraum.Bauhaus and the eTeach-Netzwerk Thüringen from 24 to 26 September at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The event will centre around the idea of designing physical, digital, and hybrid spaces so that they provide optimal support for teaching and learning. Registration is open for those interested and is free of charge.

Wie verändert sich unser Blick auf Landschaft im Zeitalter des Anthropozäns? Die Ausstellung »Landschaft im Anthropozän: Thüringer Wald – zwischen Imagination, Ressource und Realität« zeigte in Apolda gestalterische, künstlerische und wissenschaftliche Arbeiten von Studierenden der Fakultäten Architektur und Urbanistik sowie Kunst und Gestaltung der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.

The tasks traditionally handled by the administrative departments at universities has changed considerably in recent decades: these classic administrative offices have since evolved into hubs for academic management. Often, the staff are the first point of contact for academics, students, decentralised administrative departments and external guests. They not only coordinate events, but also distribute information, handle financial matters and communicate – across departments, proactively and often »seemingly effortlessly«.
