Numerous students have successfully graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering this year as well, and we wish to congratulate all graduates! Unfortunately, the graduation ceremony cannot take place in its usual in-person format this year. However, the heads of the faculties have come up with a unique alternative: All graduates from 2019 to 2021 will be honoured with a film that was created especially for this occasion.
Whether Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. – your graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter in your life and is cause for celebration! You look back with pride on what you have achieved - not least because you completed your studies under the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. And for this, you deserve special recognition!
While we would have loved to celebrate your successes together in person at a traditional graduation ceremony, the faculty directors have decided that because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and resulting restrictions and hygiene regulations, the traditional in-person graduation ceremony will not take place this year. However, there will be a wonderful alternative to honour all those who graduated in 2019, 2020 and 2021, and to celebrate their achievements.
Instructors from all six of the faculty’s institutions took the opportunity to reflect on the last pandemic-affected semesters, to remember their former students and to say »congratulations« on behalf of all faculty members. The result is a beautiful film dedicated to all graduates from 2019 to 2021.
The Faculty of Civil Engineering wishes you all the best on your future endeavours and hopes that you will stay connected to the university through its various networks.
With warmest greetings,
Your directors of the Faculty of Civil Engineering
Prof. Uwe Plank-Wiedenbeck
Prof. Horst-Michael Ludwig
Prof. Conrad Völker
