An event in the context of the certificate study bridge construction

The participants were given insights into experimental facilities with practical examples within the event context.

In the morning, the participants were given an exciting insight into the various experimental facilities of the faculty. The first station led to the bearing test stand, where it could be seen how a bridge bearing was intensively tested for durability and performance. In addition, there was an opportunity to disassemble one of the three existing bridge bearings. Furthermore, it gave the participants a close-up look at the complexity and functionality of the component. Then it was off to the wind tunnel, where this device's wide range of applications was explained. Here, the participants had the opportunity to examine various models and understand their design and the experience gained over the years. Finally, the tour led to the experimental facility, where insights into current projects and experiments were provided. It was an opportunity to see innovative technologies and their practical application, where the approach and goals of each project were explained to the participants.
