VHB TIE 2025 in Weimar

Jun.-Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Seitz and his team of the Chair for Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, together with VHB board members Prof. Dr. Joachim Henkel (TU Munich), Prof. Dr. Cornelia Storz (Goethe University Frankfurt), and Prof. Dr. Jörn Block (Trier University), successfully hosted the 2025 Annual Conference of the Scientific Commission for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (TIE) of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB).

Held at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar from September 25–27, 2025, the conference welcomed around 50 participants and offered three inspiring days of academic exchange, lively discussions, and valuable networking opportunities. In addition to the engaging presentations, the event fostered meaningful interactions among scholars, particularly during the mentor–mentee meeting for early-career researchers.

A special highlight of the conference was the presentation of the Jürgen Hauschildt Award 2025, which honors the best empirically grounded publication in innovation management. The award was granted to Hanisch, M., Graf‐Vlachy, L., Häussler, C., König, A., & Cho, T. S. for their paper: “Kindred spirits: Cognitive frame similarity and good faith provisions in strategic alliance contracts.” Strategic Management Journal, 46(2), 436–469 (2025).
