Innovation & Startup Challenge in Weimar: Ideas for the Future of Forests
The Professorship of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer is proud to host the Innovation & Startup Challenge in Weimar, focused on developing innovative ideas for sustainable and resilient forests. The challenge is part of the European University Alliance BAUHAUS4EU.
How can we make forests more resilient and sustainable? This question is currently bringing together international students and early-stage entrepreneurs at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Working in interdisciplinary teams, participants are developing innovative concepts around sustainable forest use, digital technologies, and new business models. The goal is to combine entrepreneurial thinking with ecological responsibility and to create concrete solutions to challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource management.
Supported by mentors from academia and practice, a wide range of ideas is emerging – from data-driven tools for forest management to new approaches for regional value chains around wood and forest products.
