Congratulations!

On April 9, 2025, Martina Buratti defended her dissertation entitled "Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: Dynamics, Processes and Mechanisms" with honors and received her doctorate in economics (Dr. rer. pol.) from Friedrich Schiller University Jena with the highest grade of summa cum laude.

In her cumulative dissertation project, supervised by Prof. Dr. Matthias Menter, Prof. Dr. Uwe Cantner, and Jun.-Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Seitz, Ms. Buratti investigates the dynamics, processes, and mechanisms that shape regional entrepreneurial ecosystems and innovation networks – with a particular focus on rural areas and small and medium-sized towns in Germany.
