ARCHITECTURE builds knowledge. According to this motto the Chamber of Architects of Thuringia, the Bauhaus University Weimar, the Thuringian Institute of teacher further training, curriculum development and media, the BDK e.V. Association of Art Education, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar and the Stiftung Baukultur Thüringen invite to a common symposium on architectural education and communication of architecture.
The symposium provides a work and action space to present and discuss current developments in architectural education - particularly in schools - and its scientific reflection. It offers an opportunity for exchange about new cultural skills, fields of research and key aspects within the research field of communication of architecture. The symposium provides at the same time an insight into their theory and practice fields.
It is with it a platform for the dialogue and the networking between art pedagogues, museum pedagogues, architects, psychologists and communicators of architecture, scientists, doctoral candidates and students as well as the political decision makers in connection with building-cultural education.
The symposium is under the patronage of the Thuringian minister for education, youth and sport, Birgit Klaubert.
