Project description

How can we as designers contribute to a sustainable future? How can we use our skills best to communicate relevant content?
Through the methods of visual communication, through compositions, form and proportions, complex content can be contextualised, elaborated or catalogued. The complexity of an event such as the climate crisis requires a structured presentation and corresponding design of scientific content. Based on a self-selected scientific report related to climate crisis, problems have to be identified and substantiated by existing image and text material in order to draw attention to the corresponding topic. Using the creative potential that has been elaborated, the content will be structured, the message will be made tangible, and relevant information will be implemented through design. The aim of this course is to create a catalogue that highlights a climate-relevant topic and conveys its message in a convincing way. Within the course, fundamental knowledge for the creation of grid systems, image and text arrangements, proportions and typesetting will be aquired.
