Project description

Quilting:

a corridor

(me)
passing by, perceiving
the density and silent dirt of transition.
feeling familiar, cause
it is easy to follow the tide.

moving slowly, getting lost.
distinct tastings and being alone.

it is
a different displacement than before.
warm surface, but cold inside.
narrow spaces, wide edges.

Mending:

For our mending project, I selected my actual favourite piece of cloth. It is a simple, straight black jeans, which is incredibly workable. It is already three years old, and I wear it basically all the time, so that it feels like a good companion. What I like the most about it is, that it seems unbreakable, dirt is not too visible, but it is quit chic at the same time. so that I am always dressed well in it. Just some days, after I got it, I scribed the right leg of the jeans with my bikes gear, while cruising through the town. Nevertheless, it happened in the early years of our relationship, I never repaired the hole, because it did not bother me. But now, as the jeans gets older and is used so frequently, I feel that there is a need to care for it....
