Professorship Profile

Professorship of Architectural Management

The professorship of Architectual Management combines the urban planning and architectural disciplines with the institutions and processes of the real estate industry. The focus is on economic reflection and the feasibility of structural-spatial solutions.

The field of teaching and research sees itself as an integral part of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and works transdisciplinarily and practically between all construction-related disciplines and courses of study.

As a member of the bauhaus.institute for experimental architecture, internationality is a central component of the professorship's programme.

The creative work in the student project developments is supported by scientific location analysis. A location database, which has been built up and expanded over the last ten years, allows the economic influences of the markets and society to be used for analyses and developments in a targeted manner.

A further focus of the professorship, which has existed since 1996, is research activity through the promotion of doctoral theses and the acceptance of external doctoral candidates.
