Dear Alumni,

The summer semester at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar has again been overshadowed by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. In order to make sure that students are able to carry out their studies without major delays, as many in-person events as possible are taking place. The current developments are offering increasing hope for a return to more on-campus interaction. Just like every year at this time, the university preparations for the annual exhibition are in full swing. The summaery2021– ›TheSum‹ will be taking place from 15 to 18 July. Although this year’s exhibition will be primarily online again, this will in no way diminish the event’s intensity, attractiveness or vibrancy. In the run-up to the exhibition, the university is interested in showing what it has been like to study and work under pandemic conditions and to look at what projects could be carried out during this time. The event website has become an exhibition space in itself; a place for sharing experiences you have had studying during the pandemic and providing insight into how and where work could be carried out.

If you are interested in sharing your experiences and project work results from the pandemic, we encourage you to submit your photos and videos, creative texts and audio files, graphics and illustrations, or any other format you wish.

For more news on the university, studying and life at your alma mater, check out the latest contact.bauhaus. We hope you enjoy reading and discovering.

With warmest greetings,
Your Silvia Riedel
