“Mathias Schönher: Die Naturphilosophie von Deleuze” (Transkript Publishing House)
Book presentation at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Faculty of Media, Berkaer Strasse 1
On Wednesday, July 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., a book presentation will take place as part of SUMMAERY at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar: The book Mathias Schönher: Die Naturphilosophie von Deleuze, published in August 2025 by Transkript Verlag, will be presented in the Edition Moderne Postmoderne series.
‘What is Philosophy?’, written by Gilles Deleuze in collaboration with Félix Guattari, is one of the key works of contemporary philosophy. However, due to its wide-ranging themes and extremely concise style, it is considered difficult to access. Mathias Schönher elaborates on the philosophical and systematic content of the work, situates it in its historical context within Deleuze's oeuvre, and demonstrates its relevance today. In doing so, he brings to light a contemporary philosophy of nature that refers not only to developments in capitalist-influenced communication societies, but also to the findings of modern natural sciences.
