The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar confirms current and new Vice-Presidents

Dr.-Ing. Christian Koch will be replacing the current Vice-President of Academic Affairs Prof. Nathalie Singer when his new term of office begins on 5 April 2020. His areas of responsibility will also include digitality, specifically as it pertains to studies and teaching. Dr. Jutta Emes has been Vice-President since 2017 and will be responsible for international affairs, diversity, equal opportunities and transfer.

»I am delighted that Prof. Jutta Emes and Prof. Christian Koch have been so strongly supported by the Senate«, Prof. Winfried Speitkamp said. »We once again have an exceptional team that will successfully continue the Presidium’s work and tackle new challenges, such as those arising in international affairs, diversity and digitality. Particular thanks go to Prof. Nathalie Singer, who has introduced significant innovation to studies and teaching since 2017«.

About Dr. Jutta Emes

Dr. Jutta Emes has been Professor of Marketing and Media Research at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar’s Faculty of Media since 2010 (appointment accepted 2011). Her research focuses on brand management and communication, social media, international market entry strategies, and strategic marketing for digital information products. Jutta Emes has sat on the board of the regional public broadcaster Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk since April 2016.
