This booklet presents research and educational projects from decades of collaboration between the two partnering institutions Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in Germany and the Ethiopian Institute of Architecture Building Construction and City Development (EiABC) at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia under the umbrella of the collaborative center ECL-AA (Emerging city lab Addis Ababa).

The achievements of the fruitful cooperation were displayed in the exhibition “ሠላምbauhaus” read as “Selam Bauhaus” in Amharic – meaning “Hello Bauhaus”. For the celebration of the 100^th anniversary of the historic “Bauhaus” and the 65^th anniversary of EiABC in the year 2019, the projects were shown at two locations: in Weimar, the Bauhaus place of origin, in July 2019 and in Addis Ababa in October 2019. This booklet summarizes most of the projects of the ECL-AA into a concise one-page representation per project.  

With this publication, we would like to thank all initiators, participants and supporters contributing to many exciting projects in the past, today and in the future. Dedicated to Dirk Donath, we remember his devotion and passion for this cooperation.
