This year, Bauhaus Spring School has taken place for the fifth time. More than 230 participants of over 40 different nationalities joined this special anniversary!
From 12 – 21 March 2026, Bauhaus Spring School hosted eleven interdisciplinary courses. In the course „The Secret Life of Objects: Archiving and Storytelling through Everyday Things“, for example, students explored how ordinary objects can be activated into powerful carriers for memory and identity. By contrats, participants of „From FEM to Neural Operators“ were introduced to scientific machine learning in computational mechanics, while the course „Urban Heat Islands“ tackled the relation between human-made and natural factors on the built environment.
On March 20, all Spring School-students proudly presented the results of their work during the „Open Ateliers“ to a wide audience.
Of course, there was also time for fun, leisure and relaxation. The social programme included excursions into the region, workshops, guided city tours, movie nights, and much more! Thanks to the cooperation with „Klassik Stiftung Weimar“, participants visited Weimar’s museums as well.
On the last evening, all Spring School-participants came together at the student club „Mascha“ to celebrate the farewell with music, dancing and laugthers.
