The Internationalisation project is part of the Studium.Bauhaus project, which received initial funding for the period from 2011 to 2016. We are currently in the second funding period, which runs until the end of 2020.

The Intercultural Competence project is part of the BMBF-funded Studium.Bauhaus project currently being developed under the motto of “Sustainable.Intercultural.Education”. The aim is to systematically develop and expand intercultural training offers at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in order to strengthen intercultural competence in the long term as a future-oriented key skill.
The DAAD's Integra programme awards grants for German language courses to refugees who wish to prepare for university studies. Total funding for 2017 and 2018 amounts to EUR 141,120. This provides more than 80 slots in German courses lasting between 3 and 8 months.
The DAAD Welcome Programme supports voluntary student activities in the field of refugee work. Currently funding supports six student assistants who help coordinate the various voluntary initiatives and help refugees find their way to the university.
As part of the DAAD PROMOS programme, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar awards scholarships for stays abroad lasting up to 6 months. The scholarships are aimed at students whose projects abroad are not eligible for funds under any other funding programme (e.g. ERASMUS or other DAAD programme).
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) STIBET I scholarship and support programme funds international students in the final phase of their studies
