Workshops and Labs

Hands-on work is an essential part of studying at the Faculty of Art and Design. Students spend time working in ateliers, workshops, and labs – often over the course of their entire degree programme. They experiment with materials, test out techniques, and develop their projects from the first drafts to final implementation.

The Faculty offers ideal conditions for this kind of work: outstanding facilities, expert support, and space for independent work. Our workshops and labs are dedicated to learning and experimentation.

The Central Workshops are open to all students in the faculty. Other workshops and laboratories are assigned to individual professorships. Students use them for projects and specialist courses run by the respective professorship.
