For the annual exhibition summaery2025 from 10 to 13 July, students and faculty of the university presented their work, ideas, and discourses on campus as well as inside and outside the city. The motto »ACHTUNG« conceptually and graphically developed by the leading Faculty of Art and Design, formed the thematic framework.
More than 5,500 visitors took the opportunity to get to know our university, attend the exhibitions and events, and celebrate with us the conclusion of the academic year.

Under the leadership of the Faculty of Art and Design, the university is drawing attention to the outstanding works that students have conceived, designed and realised at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar during the academic year. From 10 to 13 July, the university's students and teaching staff present their work, ideas and discourse on campus and in and outside the city.
At the same time, the motto calls for respect for values that are constantly under threat, such as respect for freedom of expression, diversity, equality of all genders, multiculturalism, love of neighbour; respect for the environment, for climate change, for the next generation; respect for the freedom of science, art, teaching and the mind.
The preservation of these values will require continuous work and effort and will always be a construction site. Just as our summaery only reflects an interim status on the way to the next semester. With this in mind, we invite you to an annual exhibition as a large construction site throughout Weimar and beyond, where almost everything is allowed and almost nothing is forbidden.
The concept and visual idea for summaery2025 came from Visual Communication, designed by Prof. Burkhart von Scheven and Masihne Rasuli. The two VK students Mona Lea Kerntke and Leonard Behre implemented the idea graphically. In this interview, they explain how traffic signs became design elements, why the design is loud and direct, but not off-putting, and why neon pink and silver will characterize the cityscape.
