Registration Blended Intensive Programmes

‘Blended Intensive Programmes’ (BIPs) are international teaching projects in a hybrid format.
3 universities from 3 European countries work together on one topic. All participants meet for a short stay abroad at one of our partner universities. This stay abroad can be funded with an ERASMUS scholarship.

What do I need to consider when designing my concept?

Your teaching concept is only eligible for funding if the following conditions are met:

• 3 European universities (BUW + 2 other universities, whereby the host university must be a partner university of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar)
• 3 different European countries (Germany + 2 other European countries)
• 1 short stay abroad (at least 5 days at the host partner university)
• 1 or more online sessions (together with the 2 partner universities)

How specific must the teaching concept be at the time of application?

The following key data must be available for the application form:

• Host partner university and one other university, which does not necessarily have to be a partner university (upload of a Letter of Intent is required when registering your BIP)
• Date of the phase abroad (only the month in which the phase abroad is to take place)
• Content of the online session(s) and the phase abroad (the more specific, the better)
• approx. amount of students

Can the BIP be part of a regular course in the semester?

Yes, experience has shown that BIPs are part of a regular course in the semester (including entry in BISON). For example, students at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar can receive 6 ECTS credits for a course, of which 3 ECTS credits are earned as part of the BIP.

Does the BIP have to take place at a partner university of the Bauhaus-Universität?

Yes, the host university must be a partner university of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Other participating universities do not have to be partner universities.

How much funding will we get?

Students receive 79 Euro / day plus max 6 travel days
Lecturers receive min 140 Euro / day (depending on the destination country)

When is the next registration round?

The call for BIPs is published twice in the academic year at the same time as the registration period for the Bauhaus.modules:

for BIP courses in the winter semester: 15 June
for BIP courses in the summer semester: 15 December
