Die Professuren Akustische Ökologien und Sound Studies und Experimentelles Radio haben ihre gemeinsamen Studios in der Marienstrasse 5, mit dem Klanglabor im 2. OG und dem Radiostudio im 3. OG. Eine enge Zusammenarbeit besteht mit der Professur Elektroakustische Komposition und Klangkunst und den Studios des SeaMs. Das Radiostudio wird auch von der studentischen Initiative bauhaus.fm genutzt. Weiterhin stehen die zentralen Studios (Protools Studio und Studio 1) im Medienhaus für Produktionen zur Verfügung.
Die Studios in der Marienstrasse 5 stehen vorrangig für Lehrzwecke und die Umsetzung studentischer Projekten innerhalb der Kurse zur Verfügung. Für eine Freischaltung wird eine Studioeinführung durch Lehrende benötigt. Die Buchung erfolgt über den jeweils gültigen Buchungskalender. Eine Nutzung für außeruniversitäre und insbesondere kommerzielle Zwecke ist untersagt. Mit der Arbeit in den Studios wird die aktuell gültige Ordnung akzeptiert.
An den Studios angeschlossen ist die dezentral organisierte, gemeinsame Sound Ausleihe in der Marienstrasse 5, die der Unterstützung der Lehre der Akustischen Ökologien und Sound Studies und des Experimentellen Radios dient. Das SeaM verfügt über eine eigene Ausleihe.
Um Equipment aus der Soundausleihe nutzen zu können, müssen Studierende aktiv an den aktuellen Projekten und Kursen der Professuren Akustische Ökologien und Sound Studies und Experimentelles Radio teilnehmen und eine entsprechende Einführung in die jeweilige Audiotechnologie absolviert haben.
Es gibt keinen grundsätzlichen Anspruch auf Ausleihe der Technik durch Studierende.

ACTIVATION & USE OF THE LENDING SYSTEM
In order to use the lending system, you must first be registered as a user in the system. To do this, please send us an e-mail from your university address. Please note that this lending service is reserved for active students in courses of Experimental Radio, Acoustic Ecologies and Sound Studies.
PUNCTUAL RETURN
In order for subsequent lending to work, it is essential that equipment is returned in time! Please do not return equipment in the last few minutes to the lending office and please note that we will not be able to lend out equipment in the future if it is returned late!

FEHLENDE GERÄTE
Es sind noch nicht alle Geräte in der digitalen Ausleihe eingetragen. Der Geräte Pool wird sich somit in den kommenden Wochen noch erweitern. Wenn Ihr etwas benötigt, was vielleicht vorhanden, aber noch nicht eingepflegt ist, schreibt uns eine Mail und wir werden uns bemühen, die Teile schnell einzupflegen.
Weitere Tontechnik kann beim Media Point ausgeliehen werden.
Studio M5
Since 2008, the Chair of Experimental Radio has had a professional broadcasting and production studio for radio art, film sound and sound design, funded by the STIFT. The radio studio M5 is located in room 303 under the roof of Marienstraße 5. M5 is the main contact point for voice recordings for feature and radio play productions. A four-person voiceover room and separate workstations for live broadcasts and production allow for flexible recording, broadcasting and experimentation. Loudspeakers from ME Geithain serve as monitoring monitors. A high-quality Focusrite ISA 428 preamplifier ensures crystal-clear sound. The recording systems used are primarily Reaper and Ableton Live with audio interfaces from RME. In addition, various plug-ins are available for sound processing. Two Technics turntables and a mixer for DJs as well as extensive possibilities for integrating your own hardware and computers allow you to loop in a wide variety of sound generators, instruments and players.
The student initiative Bauhaus.fm (www.bauhaus.fm) broadcasts weekly on Mondays from 7 - 11 pm from Studio M5. Interested students can contact bauhaus.fm at bauhausfm[at]m18.uni-weimar.de.
Klanglabor
Das Klanglabor ist die neue Lernumgebung des Soundbereichs. Die beiden Studioräume des Klanglabors im 2. OG der Marienstraße 5 befinden sich im Moment noch im Aufbau. Details zur Ausstattung folgen, wenn der Prozess abgeschlossen ist. Sie werden in diesem Prozess bereits flexibel für Lehre, Projektentwicklungen und -produktionen, Events und Ausstellungen genutzt.
