Diverse, vibrant and with everything close at hand

Weimar is compact, but anything but small in scope. The university, parks, cafés, cinemas, theatres, clubs and a wealth of cultural attractions are often just a few minutes’ walk from one another. As well as Goethe, Schiller and the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, there is one thing above all else here: plenty to discover.

At the Bauhaus University, too, everything is within easy reach: between workshops and seminars, laboratories and studios, the campus and the city. You meet up, try things out, work jointly on ideas and quickly strike up conversations with others.

And after the seminar? Perhaps off to the park, the cinema, an exhibit, a concert, or simply to meet up with others somewhere in between. A lot happens spontaneously because the city is compact and paths cross quickly. That’s exactly what makes Weimar special: studies, culture and everyday life are all close at hand – and soon become intertwined.

A great place to live. A place you can’t help but love. Weimar.

Accommodation, sport, joint projects and places to meet are just as much a part of everyday student life. In Weimar, everything is within easy reach. This makes it easy to combine your studies, leisure time and everyday life.
