Financing Opportunities Stay Abroad

If you study as an exchange student at one of our partner universities abroad, you will not be charged tuition fees there. Through our exchange agreements we have negotiated complete tuition fee waivers for our students at all our partner universities. Depending on your host country, the cost of living may be higher than in Weimar. Various scholarship programmes can help you to finance your stay abroad.

ERASMUS Scholarship

Students of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar completing part of their studies abroad at an European partner university may receive an ERASMUS scholarship.

PROMOS Scholarship

Students of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar completing part of their studies abroad at a non-European partner university, may apply for a PROMOS scholarship.

BAföG Abroad

If you are planning to study or complete an internship abroad, then you might be eligible for BAföG abroad. See here for details.

Educational Loan

The education loan is available as a supplement to BAföG. It is independent of the income and assets of the trainees or their parents.
