What »Neues Lesen« and »Neues Schreiben« Lookes Like: The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar at the 2024 Leipzig Book Fair
The focus of the stand was the question: How are new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, going to change reading and writing and thus teaching and learning in the future?
Three on-site projects invited visitors to engage and playfully interact with innovative approaches and to explore for themselves what is already possible today. At stand H503 in Hall 2, the Bauhaus Gamesfabrik presented their in-house programmed computer games. Interested visitors could test out the »Walter’s Words« game with the »Interactive Cubes«. They were also invited to test out anonymous author ILLUMULUS. The traditional book also made an appearance: The student-run publishing house LUCIA VERLAG showcased publications from the university community.
The trade fair was rounded off with a series of talks. The brainchild of Dr. Simon Frisch, Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs, he discussed with experts how »reading and writing« might develop in the future.
Photographer Julian Linden, who is part of the student project team, was present on all days and staged the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar stand.
