David Simões, M.A.

Since May 2025, David Simões is an external PhD student at the Media Management Department at the Bauhaus-University Weimar, Faculty of Media. The supervisors of his doctorade are Prof. Dr. Reinhard Kunz (Chair of Innovation Management and Media) and Prof. Dr. Uwe Eisenbeis (Stuttgart Media University). In parallel, he works as a research associate in the Digital Economy and Media Management program at the Faculty of Electronic Media, Stuttgart Media University. His doctoral research focuses on the development of revenue models, versioning strategies and pricing structures in the context of digital entrepreneurship.

In addition to his research, which is partly conducted in cooperation with the Generator Startup Center at Stuttgart Media University, David Simões teaches the course "Introduction to the Digital Economy" at Stuttgart Media University.

David Simões completed both his Bachelor's (B.A.) and Master's (M.A.) degrees in Media Management at the Stuttgart Media University. He also spent two semesters abroad: one in the Marketing and Branding program at Dongguk University in Seoul and one in the Business Administration program at College of Management Academic Studies in Tel Aviv. Prior to his academic career, David Simões completed an IT Systems Management apprenticeship at Hewlett-Packard and gained several years of experience in account management and sales.

In his free time, David Simões enjoys running, art museums, architecture, interior design and solo traveling.
