»Wärmewende on the ground: Ansätze im Quartier« am 16. Januar 2023

Im neuen Jahr lädt das Institut für Europäische Urbanistik an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar wieder zu den Weimarer Stadtgesprächen ein. In der Podiumsdiskussion am 16. Januar wird diskutiert, wie die klimagerechte Umstellung der Wärmeversorgung konkret in den Quartieren gelingen kann.

Energiesparen im Wintersemester 2022/2023 – wo stehen wir aktuell?

Seit dem Sommer bereitet sich die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar auf mögliche Engpässe bei der Gas- und Stromversorgung vor. Die Taskforce Energie hat mittlerweile zahlreiche Schritte eingeleitet, die den Energieverbrauch in den Gebäuden herunterfahren und das Studieren, Arbeiten und Forschen in Präsenz trotzdem gut ermöglichen sollen. Wo stehen wir aktuell? Im Dezember 2022 hat Pressesprecherin Claudia Weinreich den Leiter der Taskforce Energie Steven Mac Nelly dazu befragt.

How to Properly Mount the Thermometer for Measuring the Room Temperature?

To enable the employees and students of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to regulate the room temperature independently to the legally prescribed 19°C, thermometers have been received in the dean's offices of the faculties as well as in the secretariats of the departments and central facilities. You will receive brief instructions on how to mount the thermometers correctly.

Energy Saving Measures on Telephones and Printers

Starting November 15, 2022, energy-saving measures will be implemented on telephones and printers at Bauhaus University Weimar. The functionality of the devices will be maintained.

Media information of the Studierendenwerk Thüringen: Heating allowance on November 4 on the account of students in Thuringia

Students in Thuringia who have received benefits under BAföG for at least one month from October 2021 to March 2022 and whose BAföG notice states that they no longer lived with their parents will be paid the heating allowance of 230 euros on November 4, 2022. The legislator has defined the criteria and thus pursues the objective of paying the heating allowance to students who have incurred heating costs themselves.

Media report: Comfortable and healthy

The Bayern 2 podcast »IQ - Science and Research« looks at why fresh air supply and heating in modern open-plan offices is challenging and how the indoor climate affects our health and ability to concentrate. Dr.-Ing. Hayder Alsaad from the Chair of Building Physics at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is working on solutions. His research in the climate laboratory is presented in the article (from minute 12:55).
