The university library provides access to Beuth's Nautos database for its patrons. Nautos serves as your gateway to DIN and ISO standards in full text (DIN: German and English language). Some entries feature a short content summary. Nautos is available from within the university network, and for university members additionally from outside the network by VPN connection.
The VDE-NormenBibliothek provides direct access to all valid standards issued by the Association for Electrical Technologies (VDE) – more than 4,000 documents in total. More than 1,100 VDE standards withdrawn since December 2010 are additionally available in full text. All standards are listed with extensive bibliographic data. This service also provides access to all DIN-VDE standards (German language link).
The university library's collection holds around 20,000 TGL standards. These standards were issued by the East German government and were mandatory for all products, procedures and technologies. They are still needed especially for renovating and modernizing East German buildings.
You can find the entire collection in our TGL directory. The majority of TGLs is digitized and available to download for free. We make more digitized TGLs available continually.
The DDR-Baukataloge are a collection of documents issued by East German authorities including the department of architectural engineering and the Bauakademie der DDR. The collection includes civil engineering methods and technologies, standardized parts and engineering systems and construction drawings, among others.
The library's collection holds both printed materials and microforms. Printed materials are listed in thecatalogue (OPAC). Searching for the keywords »Fertigbau« and »Katalog« will bring up all printed materials to be further refined. Microform materials are listed in this PDF document (German language).
On request we provide copies of TGL standards and DDR-Baukataloge for a fee according to the university library's fee schedule (appendix 1 to the library regulations).
