Zahl 30 als Symbol für das Namensjubiläum der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar

summaery2026 — the annual exhibition

The ‘summaery2026’, held from 9 to 12 July 2026, was once again a vibrant gathering place for prospective students, alumni, university staff and guests. Around 5,000 people attended the annual showcase, gained insights into current projects, explored exhibits and events, and celebrated the end of the academic year together with the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.

The university’s students and academic staff presented their work, ideas and discussions on campus, as well as within and outside the city, under the motto ‘prompt‽’, which was conceptually developed by the Faculty of Media, the lead organiser.

Four days packed with exhibits, events, encounters and special moments: our photographers Thomas Müller and Matthias Eckert have captured the atmosphere of ‘summaery2026’.

The motto

For us, ‘Prompt‽’ is more than just a technical term. A prompt is an impulse, a question, a catalyst. It represents the dialogue between humans and AI, and how ideas give rise to texts, images or entirely new perspectives.

The interrobang ‘‽’ combines a question and an exclamation. It symbolises curiosity, surprise and the desire to rediscover things. We see summaery2026 as situated precisely between asking questions and seeking answers.
