SCHOOL Milestone meeting in Frankfurt am Main
After the project start in November 2017, SCHOOL's project and associated partners met for the first milestone meeting in the House of Logistics & Mobility (HOLM) at Frankfurt Airport. The SCHOOL project is funded by funding from the Modernity Fund (mFUND) of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI). The project participants develop new types of multimodal traffic management strategies and implement them prototypically. For the first time, the non-monetary approaches "gamification" and "incentivization" will also be used. The aim of SCHOOL is to make traffic in conurbations environmentally friendly and efficient by using networked technologies. The Chair of Transportation System Planning is assigned the task of determining the effects of the measures planned in the project and newly developed strategies.
At the first milestone meeting, Prof. Plank-Wiedenbeck, Marco Fedior and Wido Hamel presented an evaluation framework for investigating the transport and environmental effects of traffic management strategies. Other elements of the milestone meeting were in the areas of inventory and process development.
During the event, in addition to the presentations of the previous work packages through mutual feedback processes, the forthcoming work packages were also specified. We therefore are thankful for the committed and feedback-rich cooperation and the results.
