For the Fifth day of the Science Camp participants visited the WIR-Quartier in Erfurt(get a look through Google Maps here or to Google Street View in this link). The construction is residential villa with two 6-storey towers and a height up to 60 meters. Vertical greenery adorns the exterior, which the participants were able to explore as well as the maintenance rooms.

Architects from PSL (Planungsgruppe Stadt + Landschaft PartGmbB) as well as from Hillig-Architekten (Thomas Hillig Architekten GmbH) provided insights to the construction phases, plant selection and design considerations.
