Starting in December 2024, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer at the Bauhaus University Weimar. Her main research interests are entrepreneurial ecosystems, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, technology transfer and the economics of innovation.
On April 9, 2025, she successfully defended her PhD in Economics at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena with her thesis entitled "Entrepreneurial ecosystems: Dynamics, Processes and Mechanisms". Her work has been published in leading international journals, including R&D Management.
Since 2022, she has been a research fellow at the Chair of Microeconomics at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, where she contributed to several third-party funded projects, including "DUI.REG – Measuring the Doing-Using-Interacting Mode of PMI in Structurally Weak Regions" and "NetSurvey – Survey on Networks in Knowledge Generation and Innovation: Motives, Mechanisms, and Policy Relevance", both funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Since 2021, she has also been a research fellow at the Chair of Business Administration, Innovation and Economic Change at Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
Since 2022, she has also been responsible for the coordination of the double degree program between Friedrich Schiller University Jena and the Università dell'Insubria in Varese, Italy.
In 2021, she earned a double master's degree in economics from Friedrich Schiller University Jena and in global entrepreneurship, economics and management with a focus on economics of innovation from the University of Insubria in Varese, Italy. She earned a bachelor's degree in cultural heritage studies from the University of Milan, Italy, in 2017.
