As visual artists Prinz Gholam have developed a multidisciplinary practice that is based on performative and collaborative processes which lead to live performances, videos, photographs, drawings, and objects. Their work is a continuous attempt to place and negotiate the ego and the body between their cultural construct and the world in which we live. It consciously manifests itself under the influence of cultural paradigms when embodying iconic images from art and media. In the process of appropriation otherness is revealed in terms of upbringing, social and geographical background, age and character.
