Course reserve collections contain literature curated specifically for a particular lecture by teaching staff and set up and organized by the library as part of their services. Literature in a course reserve is made available in the library as a physical copy and/or in Moodle as part of an electronic course reserve collection.
You will find the physical course reserve for your lectures separated from, but nearby the respective parts of our collection:
Architecture and Urbanism | Main building, floor +1 |
Civil and environmental engineering | Main building, floor +2 |
Art and design | Limona, gallery |
Media | Limona, gallery |
Items from currently active course reserves will be marked as such in BibSearch and cannot be borrowed for the duration of the semester.
If you run a Bauhaus.Module, we offer the same service as for teaching staff.
You can set up a course reserve directly in Moodle and include up to 30 books from our physical collection. After registering your course in Moodle, you will find the »course reserve collection« option when you »add an activity or resource«.
Moodle also allows you to reserve books for your course reserve, suggest a book to the library for acquisition, include both licenses and freely available electronic resources and request scans from printed resources from the library. German copyright law (§ 60a UrhG) enables the library to provide up to 15 percent of any one book.
A video tutorial on editing a course reserve collection is available in Moodle. Please feel free to contact us for advice at any time. The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar eLab will also be happy to assist you in using Moodle.
We keep a list of all past course reserves reaching back to summer semester 2019.
