Initiation of a Partnership

Initiation of a partnership

FOR MEMBERS OF BAUHAUS-UNIVERSITÄT WEIMAR

The International Office actively supports staff of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in the preparation and drafting of cooperation agreements with partner institutions in and outside Europe.

If you are interested in initiating a new or expand an existing partnership, please fill out the form for the initiation of a partnership and forward it to the International Counsellor of your faculty.
He/she will check the form with you and forward it signed to the DIB.
A member of the DIB staff will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the further procedure.

  • Information sheet on European and non-European cooperation agreements
  • Overview of the process of the initiation of non-European cooperation agreements

Please note
Depending on the respective bureaucratic framework conditions in the partner country, the preparation of a contract takes between two (European contracts) and eight (non-European contracts) months.

EXTERNAL REQUESTS

Thank you very much for your interest in collaborating with Bauhaus-Universität Weimar!

Bauhaus-Universität Weimar maintains partnerships with more than 250 higher-education institutions worldwide.

The most common type of partnership undertaken by the faculties of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is a “Cooperation for Academic Cooperation and Exchange”, which provides a basis for the exchange of students (bachelor, master, PhD) and staff, as well as joint projects.

Please note
In general, it is one or more of the four faculties (Architecture and Urbanism, Civil / Environmental Engineering, Media, Art and Design) at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar that is party to the agreement, and not the university as a whole. This approach helps to ensure the compatibility of the academic programs between the partners.

Please note
the International Office will only initiate contract negotiations if a professor of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar signals his/her interest in cooperating. The contracts will be prepared, negotiated and drawn up in cooperation with the partner.

1. Getting an overview

If you are interested in cooperating with one of the 4 faculties at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, please check first whether our study programme(s) and/or field(s) of expertise match your profile.
