Making a Sewing Pattern for a Full Body Suit

To integrate our electronic parts from our layout into the costume we want to use a full body suit as a base. But as we have a lot of small individual parts, we can just buy a body suit, because it is not possible to sew in the stuff with the machine at areas like the knees and arms.

So we decided to make the suit on our own. Therefore we need a good sewing pattern, where the electronics can be be attached into the single cut out pieces and at the end everything can be sewn together.

I tried to make the suit out of the least possible parts, that the inside wiring of the electronic parts can be done mostly before sewing it together. Also the suit should not have a zipper or any buttons, these would be just in the way of our sensors. That's why I decided to make a back neckline, which can be stretched to dress the full body suit.

I made a testing suit out of a stretchy fabric and adjusted it, so it can fit more than one dancer. The final suit will be out of a black stretchy jersey fabric for sport purposes, than is elastic in two ways, to guarantee a free movement for the dancers.
