The Unstrument emphasizes the physical aspect of sound through exercises that look at how various forms of waves in space intersect with bodies and inhabit objects and environments.  This course aims to draw out a variety of critical positions through the act of listening, making matter resonate and deconstructing the idea of noise. Here, sound is a medium meant to be explored as a raw material for art-making that includes installation, performance, do-it-yourself (DIY) electronics and happenings.

The Unstrument legt ein Hauptaugenmerk auf die Ergründung physikalischer Aspekte von Klang und wie dessen unterschiedliche Wellenformen mit Körpern im Raum interagieren und diesen Raum und darin befindliche Objekte beeinflussen.
