• Simulation of structures under extreme loads (explosion, ship impact, fire, earthquake)
• Automated condition assessment and modelling of structures using imaging methods
• Monitoring structures, load and structure identification using machine learning methods
• Aerodynamics and wind-induced vibrations of structures, e.g. large bridges
• Mesh-free CFD methods for the simulation of aeroelastic phenomena
• Synchronisation phenomena and non-linear dynamic behaviour of bridges
