Thuringian University Network for Sustainability

At Tinz Castle in Gera, they reaffirmed their shared desire to work together more closely and to integrate the cross-cutting topic of sustainability into research and teaching more and make it a guiding principle in university operations and transfer activities.

The following higher education institutions belong to the Thuringian University Network for Sustainability:

  • Bauhaus-Universität Weimar
  • Duale Hochschule Gera-Eisenach
  • Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena University of Applied Sciences
  • Fachhochschule Erfurt University of Applied Sciences
  • Friedrich Schiller University Jena
  • University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar
  • Hochschule Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences
  • Hochschule Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences
  • Technische Universität Ilmenau
  • University of Erfurt

Dr. Karsten Gaebler from Friedrich Schiller University Jena (kartsen.gaebler[at]uni-jena.de) and Dr. Ulrike Kuch from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (ulrike.kuch[at]uni-weimar.de) initiated the Thuringian University Network for Sustainability. They coordinate the network’s activities and serve as the contact persons.
