Invitation to the panel discussion »BEYOND NOW — What are ›Environments‹?«
Christian Doeller (Faculty of Art & Design), Prof. Sigrun Langner (invited; Faculty of Architecture & Urbanism), Prof. Uwe Plank-Wiedenbeck (Faculty of Civil Engineering and Dr. Elena Vogman (Faculty of Media) have been asked to join the event, which will explore the concept of »environments« from different perspectives. Dr. Ulrike Kuch (Vice President for Societal Transformation) will moderate the discussion that also aims to highlight the diverse (inter)disciplinary approaches taken at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Ideally, though, the discussion participants will reach a heterogeneous but nonetheless shared understanding of the term. At the same time, the research field of »environments« set out in the university’s 2026–2030 structural and development plan will be defined in greater detail. The event will be reflected on via graphic recording; viewers are also invited to actively participate in the discussion.
