Dear Alumni,
The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar invites you to summaery2022: »Wer weiß? | Who knows?« from 14 to 17 July. After two years of pandemic, this year’s annual exhibition can finally once again take place on the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar campus. Studios, workrooms and seminar rooms will be transformed into exhibition spaces and visitors invited to learn more about the projects completed by the four faculties and their departments in the current academic year.
This year, the Faculty of Media is responsible for organising the summaery2022. It has selected the intentionally ambiguous bilingual title of »Wer weiß? | Who knows?« to reflect on how knowledge is produced where and by whom. The question of how we as an institution, society and individuals have handled uncertainty and unpredictability in the past two years will also be considered. Following on from this is the topical self-reflexive question of whether universities are today still privileged places for the production and dissemination of knowledge. At the same time, in light of the global upheaval that the coronavirus pandemic and climate crisis have brought with them, there is a great need for predictability of the future. The summaery2022 seeks answers in artistic exhibitions, discussion rounds and insights into research projects.

5 pm | Exclusive guided tour of the Faculty of Media’s new location at Schwanseestraße 143 as part of Open Lab Night, meeting point on site. Please register in advance at alumni[at]uni-weimar.de

Meeting point for tours is the Bauhaus.Atelier
Bauhaus Walks Special | Explore the university campus, learn about the history and listen to interesting stories about the State Bauhaus. The tour lasts about 60 minutes. Participation is free of charge.
