The Bauhaus Research School is a central research institution that promotes early stage researchers and artists at the Bauhaus University of Weimar. As the central contact point for all doctoral candidates at the university, we provide support in all questions related to the doctorate.
We organise a wide range of qualification programmes as well as advice and services, e.g. on the topics of career and funding. Beyond subject cultures and faculties, we offer opportunities for networking and interdisciplinary dialogue.

Workspace
The Bauhaus Research School provides workspace for its doctoral and post-doctoral students for a period of 12 months. Users receive access to their workspace 24/7.

Networking
Exchange experiences with other young researchers and artists and organise networking events together with us.
Courses
The Bauhaus Research School organises an extra curriculum with courses in key qualifications according to the requirements of the doctoral programmes and the wishes of PhD students and supervisors.
eLearning
In various eLearning programmes, the Bauhaus Research School provides information and networking opportunities for prospective doctoral candidates, doctoral candidates and Postdocs.
Coaching
Doctoral candidates, postdocs, and junior professors can receive an external coaching focussing on individual topics, change processes, and important decisions. The Bauhaus Research School also offers individual language coaching sessions as well as individual writing consulations every semester for doctoral candidates and postdocs.
Career Councelling
In collaboration with the Career Service, the Bauhaus Research School advices and supports students who are interested in doing a doctorate and doctoral candidates in their inidvidual career planning.
Funding
The Bauhaus Research School supports the (international) visibility and networking of researchers in the early career phase by awarding grants for research stays abroad, participation in international conferences and publications.
