-Audiovisual realtime-media challenges the linear model of music production the record labels has defined as their business model since edisons invention of the phonograph.
+How does video perform as an augmentation to musical expression? Will samplesbanks become audiovisual? Will musicians adopt and use it? How?
+This class researches audiovisual aesthetic properties in the real-time domain. We learn the basics of coding in [[Pure Data]] and how to create and handle audiovisual sample material. We sketch up how music software could become audiovisual.
+This class will include a cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology.
+To assign this class you must have an affinity to music, you should be able to develop a concept and imagine a workflow with a digital tool. You should not be afraid of learning how to make software prototypes with [[Pure Data]].

Dieser Kurs erforscht die ästetischen Eigenschaften und Möglichkeiten audiovisueller Echtzeitanwendungen. Wir lernen die Grundlagen der Programmierung in [[Pure Data]] und wie audiovisuelles Samplematerial erstellt und verarbeitet wird. Der Kurs wird eine Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fraunhofer IDMT beinhalten.
