Daria Volkova is a PhD student at the Institute for European Urban Studies and a sociologist with interests in infrastructure, housing, and urban expertise. Her thesis and current work is dedicated to the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan and its infrastructural crisis. She is looking forward to being part of the IPN community and the active meetings like table tennis, bowling and other activities that can bring people together but also take the mind off our PhDs (but not for too long)!

Pappal Suneja is a Ph.D. Scholar under the Chair of 'Theory & History of Modern Architecture' pursuing his research on "Modern Indian Architecture and the Emergence of a Post-Independence Discourse: The Case of Design Magazine (1957-1988)" Suneja is a globetrotter and has traveled to 20+ countries in the past 4 years. He likes to cook, read, cycle across new cities, and listen to instrumental music in his free time. His goal with the IPN Weimar network is to focus on setting up an inclusive community for the Ph.D. Scholars. It is a great platform for working towards a trouble-free academic journey, of course with "a little bit of fun."

The Bauhaus Research School and the Equal Opportunities Office offer a special mentoring program for female and TIN* doctoral candidates and postdocs: Peer mentoring, coaching and workshops as well as exchange formats support the qualification projects and career development of the participants. Every 2nd Tuesday at 12 noon, just in time for the lunch break, AI tools for academic work and writing are presented: low-threshold, no prerequisites, free of charge and online. Registration is not required.
What does it mean to establish a company in Germany? What local networks are available to support international companies? What potential pitfalls can be avoided? These and other questions can be answered in this workshop, which is aimed specifically at international students, employees and alumni who are interested in setting up a business.
