 Relationship patterns in the environments
-A tree, whether free-standing or in a forest, is rarely a single living being, but a consortium of many species. Some of these species are accidental guests, while others live together according to specific processes of recognition, provide for each other and are interdependent. Among others, mosses, algae and lichens colonize the bark and branches in the air. In the soil, cooperation takes place between root systems, mycorrhizal fungi and soil bacteria. The concept of the microbiome is just as relevant in the various environments as questions of biocolonialism, parasitic strategies or commensalism.
