Improbable Switch: TurnyTunes

TurnyTunes. || I build an multi capacitor switch wich you adjust by turning an contact mounted to an servo motor on a rotary plate. While using a specific capacitor you can change tone/frequency by usage of a potentiometer on the left side. The circuit is build of an 555 timer in astable mode.

Final Assignment: ScanSound.

I wanted to build a machine/sensor where you have an long foil sticked together town by a servo endlessly through a scanner wich has several photocells in its cap like an electrical Drehorgel. It should generate different sounds by the amount of light that gets through the images printed passing the photcell at that moment. I build the construction but unfortunately my biggest servo broke down.

So after this i changed my concept a bit and fixed the boards and all necessary parts to the cap of the scanner so you can easily open it to lay the object desired to scan and hear in i manually. There are at the moment five LM 40106 circuits attached to it all controlled by the photocells in the scanner. You can hear an individual little song with every object you lay into the scanner, without theres an ongoing static melody with beats.
