New Thuringian Coronavirus Ordinance
From 1 April 2021, the Thuringian SARS-CoV-2 Infection Protection Measures Ordinance (Thüringer SARS-CoV-2 Infektionsschutz-Maßnahmenverordnung) will apply. The new ordinance merges the Thuringian Special Ordinance and the Thuringian Basic Infection Protection Ordinance, which were valid until the end of March, into one ordinance and regulates the extension of the lockdown. The ordinance will apply until 24 April 2021.
Accordingly, the existing measures will be continued. In addition, there are the following innovations:
- Special regulation of contact restrictions at Easter (2 to 5 April): meetings of two households with a maximum of five persons are permitted (children under 14 years of age do not count)
- New visiting regulations for care facilities
- Opening of day care facilities
- Compulsory rapid tests for services close to the body if wearing a mask is not possible
- Opening of zoos, zoological gardens and botanical gardens in the open air as of 10 April
The Sixth Thuringian Quarantine Ordinance was also extended until 24 April 2021.
